16:198:607 - Problems In Numerical Methods
- Course Number: 16:198:607
- Course Type: Graduate
- Credits: 1 to 3
- Description:
(Note: This course has not been offered for several years.) This course is intended for advanced graduate students (Computer Science majors as well as students from other disciplines) who wish to advance their knowledge in specific areas of the application of numerical methods. This may be taken by interested students in conjunction with 198:527 (Computer Methods for Partial Differential Equations).
- Topics:
The course consists partly of formal lectures, partly of personal projects under the guidance of the instructor. Topics are to cover advanced numerical methods in optimization theory and computational methods, and in computer methods for partial differential equations.
