Overview of artificial intelligence. Basic problems and methods; deductive inference, declarative programming, heuristic search; reasoning and representation in perception, planning, and learning.
This course is a pre-requisite for several machine learning and AI courses.
Credits for this course can not be combined with 440. Students cannot get credit for both courses counting towards their MS/Ph.D. degrees.
