The Graduate School permits up to 24 credits of A's and B's to be transferred toward a Ph.D. degree, and the Department of Computer Science accepts such credits if the Graduate Committee approves them. Evaluation of transfer credits is deferred until the student has successfully passed his/her Qualifying Exam. When the time comes to apply for credit transfer, the student should obtain the appropriate forms in Room 377. Further details can be found in the Graduate School Catalogue under Degree Requirements - Transfer of Credit.
Transfer credits may not be used to satisfy the course-based breadth requirements discussed in Section 4.5.2 above.
