Join us in congratulating the Rutgers CS team, Assistant Professor Xintong Wang, and Rutgers students, Garrett Seo (MSCS) and Tri-An Nguyen (undergraduate), on earning first place in the Automated Negotiation League (ANL) of the annual ANAC tournament.

ANAC is an international competition established in 2010 that serves as a benchmark for evaluating state-of-the-art automated negotiation agents. This year's tournament focused on multi-agent, multi-deal sequential negotiation, with the challenge focusing on its dynamic nature and the combinatorial explosion of possible outcomes.

The team’s winning agent and strategy, named RUFL (short for Rutgers Utility-Fit Lookahead agent), was one of 17 participants representing seven countries.  A brief introduction to the winning strategy can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAdKFVQJX3g.
