  John is a full-time IT professional and part-time Rutgers DCS PhD student, studying Natural Language Processing. His primary career goal is to transition from IT to NLP Research. 

  His primary research interests are in question answering (including visual QA), recommendation systems, big data analytics and knowledge base completion. He hopes to complete his pre-qualification paper and exam by the end of the 2017-18 school year, and to present at a conference, ideally ACL, in 2018.
