Abstract: Medical image segmentation remains a fundamental yet challenging problem due to the diversity of anatomical structures, imaging modalities, and task settings. Existing methods are often designed for a single segmentation paradigm, which limits their generalization and practical utility. We develop a series of models for universal and interactive medical image segmentation, aiming to support diverse segmentation scenarios within a unified framework. By integrating flexible prompting and interaction mechanisms, the proposed approach improves adaptability, robustness, and scalability across a wide range of medical imaging applications. Experimental results on multiple datasets demonstrate competitive performance across different segmentation settings and highlight the potential of a unified framework for general-purpose medical image segmentation.
