Go to the web page you would like to edit. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Login' button. Log in with your username/password. Two new buttons should now be on the bottom of the page: 'Edit Text' and 'Logout'. Click 'Edit Text'. If there is no 'Edit Text' button, then this page is not editable on-line or you do not have permissions to edit the page. Email help@cs.rutgers.edu for any assistance.
You should get a 'redirecting...' page message after clicking the 'Edit Text' button. The page will then reappear, but you should see a box with orange text and a yellowish background containing the word 'Update'. Note also that the button 'Edit Text' has changed to 'View Text'. If you click 'View Text' it will reload the the page and return to the viewable, non-editable mode. If you wish to return to edit the page, click on 'Edit Text' again.
To edit the text, click anywhere within the orange 'Update' box. A new page will load and present you with an on-line text editor. It contains option buttons and a text edit field. To alter any text, click within the Text field and edit it like you would any basic text editor.

Most of the buttons are the standard ones like you'd find in MS Word. Hitting the Disk 'Save' will save your progess. If you hit the 'Back' button on the bottom of the edit box, it will return you from the on-line text editor. If you hit this 'Back' button without saving, the changes you made since the last time you clicked the 'Save' button will be lost. |

The button 'Source' will open a popup window with your text in raw HTML format. If you know HTML you can use this to directly edit the text without using the on-line editor.
After you've made any change, you can click 'Save' and then click the 'Back' button at the bottom of the page. To see your changes, click the 'View Text' button at the bottom of the page.
