distill: downsampling

distill uses downsampling to reduce the size of images when producing pdf files. This may have the result of loss of detail in your images. Color and grayscale images are downsampled to 72 dpi by default; monochrome images are downsampled to 300 dpi.

You can change the resolution of these downsamplings by using the -colorres, -grayres, and/or -monores command line options to specify the resolution(s) desired or "-colordownsample off", "-graydownsample off", and/or "-monodownsample off" to disable downsampling completely.
