Faculty have access to two sets of systems, which we call "faculty" and "research." Grad students sponsored by faculty also have access to the research cluster.
The faculty cluster has two classes of systems:
- Two Linux systems, constance and richelieu. These are running Centos 5.5. They will be replaced during Fall 2016 by two newer systems, running Centos 7.2.
- Three Solaris 8 systems, athos, aramis, and porthos. These systems are due to be retired, so we do not suggest that new users start on them.
Home directories on these systems are shared with home directories of Linux-based faculty desktops. The research cluster has separte home directories.
