The Department of Computer Science at Rutgers University invites applications for a Teaching Professor position at the rank of Full Professor.  The successful applicant will serve as Director of Undergraduate Introductory Instruction for our undergraduate curriculum.

Responsibilities will include: 

Responsibilities include managing and developing/improving the introductory course sequence in Computer Science, coordinating the offerings of multiple lectures of the introductory courses every semester, teaching undergraduate classes, interviewing and hiring recitation instructors and graders (typically senior undergraduate or MS students), coordinating and supervising recitation sections, creating exams, homework, and programming assignments (possibly in collaboration with other instructors), coordinating and supervising grading, and curriculum development over time.


A PhD in Computer Science or closely related field is required.  At least five years of teaching Computer Science at the university level is also required.
