Vinod Ganapathy awarded NSF grant on software security

Thursday, August 21, 2014

Congratulations to Prof. Vinod Ganapathy, who has just been awarded an NSF grant from the Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) program, entitled “TWC: Medium: Collaborative: Retrofitting Software for Defense-in-Depth.”
Rutgers’ share of this 4-year collaborative $1.2 million grant is $300,000, and the project runs from September 2014-August 2018. The project involves collaborators from Rutgers, Pennsylvania State University, University of Vermont, and Lehigh University. It will investigate novel techniques to secure legacy software and formalize the intuitive security notion of “defense-in-depth” in the context of software systems.
