New NSF grant on hardware-support for security

Congratulations to Profs. Vinod Ganapathy, Santosh Nagarakatte and Liviu Iftode, who have been awarded a new NSF grant from the Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) program, under the Secure, Trustworthy, Assured and Resilient Semiconductors and Systems subprogram.
The new grant, “SaTC:STARSS: Hardware-assisted Methods for Operating System Integrity,” runs from October 2014-September 2017, and is for an amount of $499,988. The project will investigate novel, formally-verified hardware mechanisms to improve operating system integrity.
