Best paper award for Borgida.

Wednesday, May 4, 2016

Congratulations to Prof. Alex Borgida and his co-authors for being awarded the Ray Reiter Best Paper Prize at the 2016 International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (http://kr2016.cs.uct.ac.za).

Alex Borgida, David Toman, and Grant Weddell
“On Referring Expressions in Query Answering over First-Order Knowledge Bases”

This award is particularly meaningful to Alex Borgida, because Ray Reiter spent the years 1982-1984 here at Rutgers, before going back to the University of Toronto, Canada. Alex got to know and collaborate with him, before Ray Reiter’s untimely death in 2002. (Seehttp://www.aaai.org/ojs/index.php/aimagazine/article/download/1684/1582 for a memorial tribute to Ray Reiter)
