The Rutgers Computer Science Department is proud to announce Professor Ananda Gunawardena and Professor Tomasz Imielinski received the Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences' Grossman Innovation Prize to support their work on the CodeBench system.

Codebench is an AI-powered, scalable, and affordable learning and content management system designed to make AI and data science education accessible to everyone. It simplifies AI course management, offers expert-developed AI learning content, incorporates AI learning assistants, and adapts to various institutions to meet the growing demand for AI education and training.

“We are incredibly honored to receive the Grossman Innovation Award from Rutgers. This recognition fuels our passion and commitment to developing an impactful AI-boosted learning management system. We look forward to harnessing this opportunity to drive innovation and create transformative educational experiences,” said Professor Gunawardena and Professor Imielinski.

The Grossman Innovation Prize is awarded by the Rutgers SAS Office of the Executive Vice Dean and Interdisciplinary Programs and is a proof-of-concept fund that provides early-stage support to faculty innovation. The prize is designed to enable innovators to develop nascent product ideas to the proof-of-concept stage, where they would be eligible for venture capital funding and/or spin-off as independent businesses.
