Congratulations to Prof. Sepehr Assadi, who has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 Sloan Research Fellowship from the Alfred P Sloan Foundation. Sloan Research Fellowship is awarded annually to provide support and recognition to early-career scientists and researchers. This year, 125 early-career scholars were recognized with this fellowship. Prof. Sepehr Assadi is one of the recipients! It recognizes Prof. Sepehr Assadi as one of the most promising scientific researchers today.
Prof. Sepehr Assadi's primary research interest is in the theoretical foundations of big data analysis. In particular, it includes sublinear algorithms and lower bounds in various models of computation for processing massive datasets such as streaming, distributed computation, massively parallel computation, and sublinear time algorithms. More broadly, he is also interested in algorithmic game theory, communication complexity, online algorithms, and algorithmic game theory.
