CS Associate Professor Desheng Zhang has been selected as a 2025–26 Cheryl Wall Faculty Fellow. This prestigious fellowship honors faculty who demonstrate a deep commitment to addressing the needs and challenges of Rutgers’ diverse student population.
The Cheryl Wall Faculty Fellowships, offered in the form of a course release, recognize full-time faculty members whose work advances equity, inclusion, and justice within the university community. The program pays tribute to the late Dr. Cheryl Wall, a distinguished Rutgers scholar, educator, and advocate who championed diversity efforts across the university. Dr. Wall was instrumental in launching cluster hiring initiatives and advising key projects such as the Rutgers AAUP-AFT’s work on race and gender equity.
