Vinod Ganapathy

I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Rutgers University. I joined Rutgers after earning a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in August 2007. I was previously a student at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, from where I earned a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in May 2001. I am proud to be a native of Bangalore, the silicon valley and garden city of India.
Research
Interests. I am broadly interested in computer security and reliability, particularly in techniques and tools to improve the security and robustness of system software. I also maintain an active interest in software engineering, program analysis, formal methods, operating systems and computer architecture.

Students. I supervise or co-supervise the following Ph.D. students: Shakeel Butt, Mohan Dhawan, Rezwana Karim, Liu Yang and Saman Zarandioon. Together with Liviu Iftode, I co-direct and collaborate with members of Disco Lab: the Laboratory for Networked Systems and Security.
