CS444-Spring '08. CURRENT ANNOUNCEMENTS



1. January 24, 2008: A set of problems is available. Some will be covered during recitation next week, and some will be required as the first homework. Go to the Homeworks link.

2. January 30, 2008: A new homework will be available soon, containing some problems to hand in, and some to be discussed in recitation.

3. January 31, 2008: Homework 2 is available via the homeworks page. I may consider relaxing the due date.

4. February 17, 2008: Hw3 is ready for your perusal.

5. February 26, 2008: HW3 is due today. If you want an extension, a small extra (programming) problem
using the Seigel/Zambuto randomized integration formula will be offered. Look for the announcement.

6. February 26, 2008: Disregard the previous announcement. The HW is due Feb 29, as stated on the assignment itself.
I will post an extra problem which would extend the due date until March 4, if you also submit something for the new problem.

7. March 1, 2008: Hw3 is due in class March 4, 2008, or before. It has one new short problem.

8. March 3, 2008: A previous midterm is posted (on the "past exams") page. Our midterm will be on Tuesday, March 25.

9. March 9, 2008: Solutions to homework 1 are posted. Solutions to the other two will be coming.

10. March 10, 2008: Solutions to homework 2 are now posted.

11. March 20, 2008: Solutions to homework 3 are now posted. Also, answers to the previous midterm are available on the relevant web page.

12. March 20, 2008: The midterm is on Thursday, March 27. It will be closed book, but you may use a (legitimate) single page of notes.

13. April 7, 2008: Class notes for April 3 and April 8 are available via the handouts page.

14. April 7, 2008: Homework 4 (preliminary) is ready via the relevant page.

15. April 14, 2008: The HW4 due date is April 18 (Friday).

16. April 15, 2008: Solutions for the midterm are posted.

17. April 17, 2008: There is a slight change in the notes for the April 15 class.
Also, everybody should try to attend recitation on next Tuesday: The Szemeredi-Trotter Thm will be discussed.

18. April 21, 2008: Notes for April 22 are ready.

19. April 25, 2008: Notes for April 24 are ready.

20. April 30, 2008: Notes for April 29 are ready.

21. May 1, 2008: Notes for today are ready.

22. May 2, 2008: TAKEHOME EXAM: It will be available on the course web page by noon Saturday, May 3, 2008,
and due at my office by noon Monday, May 5, 2008.

23. May 3, 2008: The TAKEHOME EXAM is available on the course page. Please address questions and uncertainties via email.

24. May 3, 2008: Solutions to HW4 are available. course
