| Available hours of work are 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday. Must be avaiable to work at 15-20 hours a week in blocks of at least 5 hours at a time. Must be able to work 30-40 hours per week during the holidays and summer. | |
| Wage: | |
| Between $9-13/hr depending on skill set. | |
| Experience and Skills: | |
Candidates must understand the fundamentals of the web developing and
publishing. HTML, CSS, DOM, Javascript a must. Must understand the
problems of cross browser and cross platform development. CGI
experience in PHP, Perl, or similar wanted. Individuals with web
developement in a UNIX enviorment will be preffered. Apache web
maintenance experience desired. Dreamweaver or GoLive experience is
benefical only if it is used as a tool for Rapid Web Developement and not as
a primary means of developement. Must be able to create, and modify
raw HTML. Previous experience or a demonstration of graphic arts and presentation would be helpful.
In other words, this is a job where being artistic is just as
important as being technical. User interface developement experience
desired. In addition the following skills would be beneficial:

The Laboratory for Computer Science Research Computing Facility (LCSR-CF) is currently looking for a Student Web Developer. This position will be directed in the cleanup, maintenance and development of current and new web pages including their implementation, structure and framework. This work is for the benefit of the Division of Computer and Information Sciences (DCIS), which includes the Department of Computer Science (DCS).
