1.  Counts in millions of hits on Google.
    red:   1760
    white: 2430
    blue:  1270
 i.   apple: 1140, 
      red apple:   116.0, sim=.5781/10000**,
      white apple: 131.0, sim=.4729/10000, 
      blue apple:   68.9, sim=.4759/10000
      {Note, I think the word order matters, which can be construed as
       a bug in Google.  Searching for "apple red" gives a very
       different answer.}
 ii.  snow: 361, 
      red snow:    58.9, sim=.9270/10000**,
      white snow:  70.0, sim=.7980/10000, 
      blue snow:   41.2, sim=.8986/10000
 iii. water: 1340, 
      red water:    237, sim=.1005/1000,
      white water:  306, sim=.0940/1000, 
      blue water:   197, sim=.1158/1000**

So, Google (with this word order) thinks apples are red, water is
blue, and snow is red(?!).  Try it with violets and roses!  :-)

 i.  Geography (match last letter of word to first letter of next
     word), Ghost (take turns spelling a valid word), jumble
     (unscramble a word).  From class: hangman, scrabble, Boggle.
 ii. Dictionary (make up a definition of an unfamiliar word), Taboo
     (players guess a word based on a description), any kind of trivia
     or question-answering game (we have some Harry Potter games at
     home like this), Jeopardy.  From class: crosswords, Trivial
     Pursuit, Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
