Both graduate admissions and decisions about financial aid are handled
by our department's graduate admissions committee - students are
accepted to the department as a whole, not to an individual faculty
member's research group. The committee's admission decisions are
based on the quality of the applicant's record, especially in
comparison to other applicants to our department. This includes a
student's grades, scores on exams (such as GRE), and recommendation
letters.
Please contact our graduate secretary, Val Rolfe
(rolfe@cs.rutgers.edu), for any
additional questions you might have about our admissions process.
