Assignment Guidelines
- Handing in Your Assignments
- All assignments will be due at 5pm (17h) on the day they
are due,
except
when otherwise stated.
- All assignments for this class will be submitted
electronically. No
hardcopies will be accepted.
- All assignments should be submitted via the handin
website . Please login and submit your assignments on that website.
- Report Preparation & Neatness
- Reports are only acceptable as computer-edited documents.
- No MS Word documents accepted! Use PDF,PS
or
plain text.
- You should always explain your answers. Your
report/explanation should
describe your work. It should be brief and go directly to the
point. But don't be too brief that I can't understand what
you
did. Be reasonable.
- Extra credit will be given for extra work done, not for
extra bla bla
bla
in the report or code.
- Grading Policy
- As stated by Ricardo, late homework will not be accepted.
Plan
ahead. Do not complain later.
- Copies of homework from former students will be assigned
a zero.
- Copies of homework from another classmate will be
assigned a zero (to
both)
unless it is a group assignment.
- Homework downloaded from the web will be assigned a zero.
- Any other form of copying or cheating will be assigned a
zero. Check
with me what is considered cheating and dishonesty if you have
questions.
- Regrading can be asked by e-mail or personally up to 48
hours (not
counting weekends) after the homework was handed back to you. After
that,
grades are final unless Ricardo authorizes me to regrade it.
- When asking for your assignment to be regraded, keep in
mind that your
grade can move up, down or stay the same.
- Show your work. Turn in what you did or explain why you
couldn't do it.
You get partial credit even if the answer is wrong, if you show correct
understanding of the problems.
- Be neat. Decent reports help grading and avoid incorrect
interpretation
by the grader.
- Check my FAQ
page for more details about
this course
- Issues not addressed here will be discussed with Ricardo
when (and if)
needed.
