    About the Author

    . Tomasz Imielinski musical research interests range from heavy metal to blues. He was a lead guitarist of the rock group "Professors" from 1995 - 1997 consisting of faculty from Rutgers and other neighbouring universities. The current album has been developed starting in January 1998 and has been inspired by the Internet Mania. It is still "under construction"; Musical Inspirations: Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Black Sabbath.

    Imielinski also holds a day job as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Computer Science, Rutgers University in New Brunswick NJ, USA. His current interests include Internet technology with emphasis on mobile wireless computing and database mining. He leads Audio Web research group which has developed the first publically available voice browser on the web. Imielinski has authored and coauthored nearly 100 papers in leading ccomputer science journals and conferences. He has been active in numerous program commitees of conferences, is an editor of two international journals and three books and is the Program co-Chair for International Conference on Mobile Computing, MOBICOM 1999, in Seattle.

    Dr. Imielinski is a co-Director of Mobile Computing laboratory (DATAMAN) at Rutgers University. which is sponsored by Defense Advanced Research Project Agency of US Department of Defense, National Science Foundation and a number of companies.
