Supporting QoS in Networks with Mobile Hosts

The Internet protocols were never designed for mobility nor were they designed for handling real-time services. Recent research efforts on Mobile-IP and RSVP are aimed at providing these features in the Internet. Our effort is to provide support for real-time services to moving users. In particular, we are building support for an Internet Cellular Phone network. A network capable of delivering packetized voice to moving users where the backbone is the Internet.
