Information for Undergraduate Students

    • The Industrial Affiliates Program  (IAP) consists of an exclusive group of member companies that have strong ties with the department. Openings for jobs and internships at these companies can be found at the IAP site.

It is also possible to get credit for summer internships at these companies using course 198:395. If you do get a summer internship at an IAP company and would like to pursue the credit option, you will need to find a professor in the department who can "sponsor" your project. You need to do this EARLY, ideally in April. The sponsoring professor will evaluate your project up front (in agreement with your project manager at the company) for credit-worthiness. If it is, they will give you special permission to register, supervise your work through the summer, and give you a grade after the internship is completed satisfactorily.

    • Industry Jobs provide opportunities for students to get industrial experience in their field before completing their degree.

    • Rutgers Jobs are positions at Rutgers that can give students valuable work experience.

    • The Student Employment Office maintains a list of part-time and seasonal jobs available on and off campus.

    • CareerKnight includes Job and Internship Search Agents that allow you to automate your job search and register for Career Days and Employer Information Sessions.

To set up this feature and look for new opportunities, you will need to register with CareerKnight.  Once you have registered, click on "My Account" to upload a resume and start the process.
