Admission to the Major
Students wishing to declare a major in computer science must achieve a
grade of C or better in the 5 courses listed below. Transfer students
are required to take at least three courses in the New Brunswick
Department of Computer Science (01:198:xxx) before being accepted to
the major.
For purposes of declaring a major, each course can be repeated only once to replace D/F grades.
Declaring the Major
The process of declaring a CS major is not the same for all colleges.
Students should go to their dean’s office, get the proper form,
fill it out and bring it to us for signature and then return it to
their dean’s office with some minor differences from college to
college. The student should check their college website for their
college’s process.
