How do I connect to my assigned machine?
1. ssh to osconsole.rutgers.edu. Login with your cereal
username and password
Upon login you should see the following menu:
2. Select "1". You should now see the following menu:
3. Choose "1" to connect to your machine over a
serial connection using the minicom terminal emulator. (See "How do I use the
serial console
terminal emulator?"). Choose "2" to connect
to your machine using SSH. Choose "3" to clear
the serial connection. (Note:
This will terminate any active serial console sessions. Confer
with your group members before attempting this).
A. If you choose "2" to connect over SSH, you should see the
following:

Choose the user to login as:
root gives you a login as superuser
vosluser gives a generic user login -- no root privileges
Example logins:

B. If you choose "3" to
clear the console line you should see the following:

Type "1" to confirm that you want to clear the console. Then you
will be returned to the menu to choose your connection type.
4. When you close your connection you will be presented with the
"LCSR Virtual OS Lab" connection menu again. Type "u" to go back
up to the main menu. Type "q" to quit and close your session.
