Title: 4th Quarterly R&D Status Report Author: Saul Amarel Date: September, 1994 Abstract: This report covers the fourth quarter of the "Hypercomputing and Design" (HPCD) project. Activities initiated during the previous three periods of the project have gained additional momentum. Special efforts were made to strengthen collaborative links between research areas. The project is gaining more cohesiveness as research directions are becoming better defined in light of the overall project theme. The quarter began with the first annual HPCD Workshop. The objective of the workshop was to review the status and directions of HPCD research. The workshop brought together the project investigators and affiliates, ARPA people close to the project, members of the HPCD Technical Advisory Committee, and selected "friends of the project" from academia, industry and government. The participants reviewed ongoing technical work in all areas of the project and discussed plans for future work. NOTE: The text of this report is not currently available via internet.
