Title:   Notes on the third HPCD Workshop

Abstract:

The third HPCD Workshop was held at Rutgers University on July 18 and 19, 1996,
which was approximately the  midpoint of the third year of the four year 
project. The workshop provided the opportunity to review the project goals, 
to bring together the people related to the project, and to get a good 
"big-picture" overview of project progress.  During the technical sessions
of the workshop, investigators from each of the project's areas outlined the
research that had been done in the previous year. This memo briefly summarizes
each talk and any ensuing discussion.
