Dr. Eigenmann is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at
Purdue University currently working as a program director at NSF.
His main research interests are in the areas of optimizing compilers, parallel and
high-performance computing, cyberinfrastructure, and performance evaluation and
benchmarking. His responsibilities at NSF include the XPS (Exploiting Parallelism and Scalability), SSE & SSI (Software Infrastructure for Sustained Innovation), and STCI (Strategic Technologies for CyberInfrastructure) programs.
