- Email
- Recent delays in delivery are understood and fixed
- Adopting a single email address (i.e., user@cs.rutgers.edu) for grad students, faculty, and staff was discussed. More discussion will follow.
- The number of licensed users on dragon is limited to 1000.
- Support for undergraduate email services was discussed. More to follow
- Graduate and undergraduate email policies and quotas were reviewed
- Disk resources
- Policy on graduate disk quotas should be linked to from resource page.
- Grad is 80MB
- Cereal is 25MB
- Filertmp
- Description of filertmp should linked to from resource page.
- Producing archives from filer temp was discussed.
- It was agreed that archive request must fit on a single DVD
- More discussion will to define policy and formalize operations
- Plans for Disk-2-Disk were discussed - more to follow
- Need for "purchasable space" was discussed - more to follow
- The privacy of files was discussed
- Users should keep no private information on research
- A faculty advisor may ask for access, and it will be granted, to any file owned by an advisee
- This policy needs to be reviewed by the entire faculty and clearly documented
- Ticketing Systems
- Still on scheduled for a June 1 decision of what we will use
- Keys and keycards
- The policy for obtaining keys and keycards has been reviewed and is on line at
