Supported Software list
make more thorough descriptions. Include address of contact person. To avoid version skew, we will enforce installation of all tools on every machine (that is, if it appears on the grad, it also appears on the research and faculty machines, and vice-versa) of the grad/fac/research clusters, though for existing packages this will take place over time with priority being given to those packages that are specifically requested by a Faculty member; on cereal/undergrad/mulder installation will be upon request of a Faculty member. new packages and new versions of old packages will get the same treatment. VERSION NUMBER is CRITICAL, so is location of each version of a thing if it has multiple versions.

User-supported software
LCSRCF will provide infrastructure support for linux and solaris only.
	       /usr/unsupported
	       /usr/unsupported/trial
start with 10G for solaris, 10G for linux.

export table handled by Don Watrous. (who goes into it determined by Dr. Nguyen) Most can be read-only, with a couple of machines (one solaris, one linux) writable for building packages...

Pending a check with Don Watrous (who will have to do the work) we will shoot to have the infrastructure available by the beginning of Fall Semester.

create unsupported-help@cs for help@cs (everybody who supports something goes on this list...
