- Encryption support for faculty archive
- Design will be finalized by our March 25th meeting
- Will be available, with instructions, for June 2005 archival
- Plan for dealing with swipe card failures
- We'll have a plan available for dicussion at our March 25th meeting
- Firefox and Thunderbird
- Netscape will no longer be supported
- Firefox(browser) and Thunderbird(mail client) will be supported
- IE, Outlook, Outlook Express will be supported as necessary
- Faculty, Staff, and Students will be notified
- Supported Software
- Supported software will be reviewed and updated twice a year
- March/April review for deployment over the summer
- October/November review for deployment over winter break
- When software becomes inconsistent across machines in a cluster an upgrade of all "out of date" machines in the cluster must be scheduled.
- Software version may be "out of sync" between Solaris and Linux but not within each respective environment.
- A "nominal" linux configuration will be presented at March 25th meeting.
