We wanted a tree with some more life than the usual. So we used 14 motes connected by a power cable to create a 4 state Christmas tree. The states of the tree are:

1. Happy: Detected a person nearby: Blink quickly
   
2. Sleeping: No person detected for 5 minutes: Blink slowly
   
3. Unhappy: Detected motion of the tree: Turn solid red.
   
4. Panic: Tree is leaving the room: Blink red, sound speakers
