LCSR maintains a pool of 28.8Kb modems available to faculty and staff of CAIP, DCIS, DIMACS, Math, and DCIS grad students. If you are an undergraduate CS students you can access DCIS compute resources by connecting through the Rutgers general modem pools operated by Rutgers University Computer Services(RUCS).
Access to the LCSR modem pool is controlled by groups. Members of a group access their resources using the phone number and athentication service listed in the following table. For example, user jqcs would access the CS faculty resouce by dialing 732-445-6455 and entering his user name as jqcs@athos.rutgers.edu along with his password on the athos resource.
Each number listed in the table can handle multiple simultaneous connections and will overflow to a general pool when all connections are busy. The groups are sized and organized as follows. Usage is monitored and on-line usage graphs are available by clicking the links in the table below.
