Dr. Frank Bellosa visits DCS this fall as first Thomas C. and Marie M. Murray Visiting Professor

Dr. Frank Bellosa, from Karlsruhe University, comes to Rutgers this fall supported on a Thomas C. and Marie M. Murray Visiting Professorship in the field of Computer Science.  The Murray Visiting Professorship is funded by an endowment established by Thomas C. and Marie M. Murray to enhance the efforts of the Department of Computer Science in attracting outstanding faculty members on a visiting basis. The funds provided by the endowment support scholars to come to Rutgers for periods of a few months to a year, interacting with the faculty and students of the Computer Science department.  Prof. Bellosa is an expert in computer architecture and operating systems, with special interest in power management issues.  His hosts are Professors Uli Kremer and Ricardo Bianchini.

Thomas C. Murray (1914-1996) received his BS degree in Agricultural Education from Rutgers in 1936, and subsequently did graduate work at NYU and Cornell University.  He retired in 1972 after a 35 year career with IBM.  Martha Cora Miller Murray graduated from Columbia University in 1936.
