Preparing for Paper Presentations and Poster Presentations at TAG+7
Paper Presentations
The following formats are supported for paper presentations:
- Transparencies: we will
provide an overhead projector for transparencies.
- Bringing your own laptop:
We will have a display projector available. We require you to set up
your laptop, test it with the projector, and leave it next to the
projector to minimize delays in moving from one talk to another. Please
be prepared to connect your machine to the display projector while
questions are wrapping up for the previous talk.
- Bringing your presentation
(without a laptop): Please let us know as soon as possible if
you plan to bring a presentation, but plan to use an on-site computer
to display it. Please bring your presentation file (either a pdf file or a Powerpoint file) on a cd-rom or a USB key. We will have a Windows
machine available, but it is your responsibility to make sure that it
is loaded and that it runs on the machine well before your presentation
time.
Please do not rely on network access for your presentation. If you have
any special needs, let us know as soon as possible and we will attempt
to satisfy them.
Poster Presentations
Your poster for TAG+7 should fit inside a 4 feet by 4 feet square
(which is 121 centimetres by 121 centimetres or 48 inches by 48
inches). Of course, it can be smaller or have smaller components, but
make sure that all your poster components will fit within the specified
dimensions.
The poster boards provided are made of particle board, and you will be
mounting the posters onto the boards using tape or adhesive mounting
squares (which will be provided on site). If you think your poster is
unreasonably heavy and likely to be difficult to mount please let us
know as soon as possible.
